In the heart of every person is a longing for something more than this world has to offer. We try to fill this void with relationships, pleasure, possessions, and success – all of which ultimately leave us feeling empty and craving more. God’s word says that the only solution for this eternal longing is found in living out our created purpose by glorifying God and walking in transformative relationship with Him.
We call ourselves Bridge Fellowship Church because we desire for all people, young and old get connected to God in a life transforming way. Everything we do as a church is about the person, work, and word of Jesus Christ.
And when we look vertically, our impact becomes horizontal – our relationships, our zeal for evangelism, our passion for preaching, our adoration of God in word and song, our purpose in life – begin to align with that purpose and the joy we’ve been longing for. When a church truly pursues God’s glory as its central passion, everything else falls into place. It’s not about what we want, not about what’s easy to say, and not about what feels good. Our prayer and hope is that Bridge Fellowship Church will always be a place for people who want to give themselves to the pursuit of God’s glory above anything else.
Vertical Focus. Horizontal Impact.
We exist to bridge people back to God through the Gospel.
Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
⏤ Matthew 28:18–20, CSB
Worship includes both praising God and living godly lives. Our times of church fellowship should draw our hearts ‘vertically’, directing us to exalt God. Lives are changed when we encounter God in this way.
(1 Chronicles 15, Psalm 29, Psalm 96)
walk with christ
Followers of Jesus continually grow spiritually, becoming more like Jesus. We do that best in community with others – environments that cultivate biblical thinking and encourage a God-honoring life through mutual ministry and accountability with one another. Simply put, we’re better together.
(Ephesians 4:11-16, Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:24)
work for christ
A Christ follower works for Christ. The primary way Christians work for Christ is by making more Christ Followers. When the Gospel is proclaimed souls are saved and lives are transformed.
(Matthew 28:19-20; Romans 10:14-15)
drives the mission
The Gospel has the power to save people and transform them. We proclaim the Gospel from the pulpit and it’s at the center of everything we do (Eph. 6:19-20).
Only God, who created all things is worthy of our worship. We are real with our worship, we praise Him for who He is and for what He’s done (John 4:24).
We are committed to explaining and applying the Bible in real and relevant ways. We believe the Bible is the primary way God has chosen to reveal Himself and instruct us (2 Tim. 4:1-4).
We believe that when we pray to God, He responds. We pray expectantly, knowing that His answers to our prayers to coincide with His will for us and our needs (Ps. 86:2; Eph. 6:18).
