The Weekly: Week of July 21th, 2019
BFC exists to BRIDGE people back to God through the Gospel. Everyone needs God. Connecting people to God is what we do.
A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR DOUGLAS
Do you wear your shoes in the house? We try not to, but sometimes we forget. Early on Sheila and I made a conscious decision not to bring the outside into our inside, maybe this stems from my years of working in sewer systems as a plumber. We’re not germaphobes or anything, but we do our best to keep our house clean. Yet, sometimes despite our best efforts our house gets dirty and it needs a good cleaning.
So it is with our hearts, all day long we’e taking things in from the outside, things like: gossip, inappropriate images on tv or social media, someone else's complaints, pressure, temptation to compete with others. Negative influences are all around us, if we don’t guard our hearts, they can lead to sin. Therefor you have to safeguard and clean out your heart on a regular basis. Psalms 51:10 tells us that we should ask God to clean out our hearts and too renew in us a Spirit that is 100% dependent on Him. This prayer request has become a regular practice for me, I say it in the morning and throughout the day as needed. I want to encourage you to do the same. It’s up to each of us to keep our hearts (houses) clean!

THIS WEEK’S MESSAGE
We’ve all heard the saying “one bad apple spoil the whole bunch”. This weekend we’re talking about the power of one. One person literally has the ability to impact a great many. Noah was the only man chosen amongst many others to lead his family to safety and restart the human race. You maybe the only one believer in your family, marriage, class, work group, or of friends. Don’t discount God’s ability to effect a great many through one person.
If this Sunday is going to be your first Sunday with us, we would love to know you are coming! You can plan your visit by CLICKING HERE.

We’re currently in the process of planning out our 2020 ministry year. Our heart is to follow the Lord as he works through us to further establish BFC. We know that God has a plan for us and we want to follow it (Psalms 37:23). As you pray for BFC pray this way:
Clearly hear from God regarding our 2020 initiatives
That we rely on God and not the plan we’ve written
Cohesion amongst the planning team members
Our 2020 ministry to surpass all our expectations
We appreciate your prayers and we delight in being able to pray for you. Let us know how we can pray for you, by CLICKING HERE.
